In the 68mxf, are these going to be pretty comparable blanks, just one by St. Croix and the other by Rainshadow? Re: SCV vs Eternity 2 in 68mxf?

Rainshadow makes some very nice blanks but I'd take St. Croix all day every day.
Good luck. Stan Re: SCV vs Eternity 2 in 68mxf?

I have built a lot of both St Croix as well as the Batson Eternity II and the Immortal blanks.
All of the blanks are really nice blanks. I think that one thing that is quite noticeable is that in general, most of the blanks have different tapers. In general, I would have to rate both the SCV and the Eternity II as well as the Immortal blanks really quite close in overall feel and construction. Each of the blanks have something different to offer. I suggest that you try holding one of each of the candidate blanks in your hand to see and feel the difference. I use the blank from the particular manufacturer that seems to work the best for myself and my clients. But to sum it up, nothing at all wrong with either the Batson Eternity II or the Immortal blanks. They make wonderful rods. Be safe Re: SCV vs Eternity 2 in 68mxf?

I think they're both great rods. I built an SCIV-SCII, 9' 5 Wt. over the winter and it has become my favorite trout rod. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
