You know there are a lot of websites and forums that promote rod building and have photos of really cool custom rods. But none of them match the quality of photo and rod building as the Mud Hole Rod Building Calendar.

I have no idea how many submissions there are, or who has to narrow them down to only 12. But I save each and every one of the calendars and use it for ideas on how I can do different things with my custom rods. You builders are amazing and thank you for sharing. I do have questions however;
Cover photo rods – Who did it? How much contact cement did you go through? Amazing.
January - J Kim, great rod, yup that background scenery is definitely in BC Canada. Nice
February M Silva, how much free time do you have on your hands dude? Seriously.
March – nice rods, love the black and white look
April M Constable – very clean, very nice, how did you get the green in the Aero grip?
May – Hungary? Didn’t know you fished there. Talk about detail, wow.
June – The time and materials that went into those grips. Amazing, nice job Kyle
July – Tom, fellow cheesehead! Great job. I would like to see the rest of the rod. Wooden grips with colored inlays? Sweet.
August – Mark, how did you do that? I think I have the parts figured out but the fit and finish and ends of the grip, is fantastic.
September – Ross, Im driving to Minnesota and buying you lunch. We need to talk.
October – airbrushed baits?!?!? Way cool. Hang it on the wall brother. Hate to see a northern or walleye chew it all up.
November – OK Don, how did you do that? Hyrdo-graphic dipping? Air brush? Roll on vinyl application? That was amazing. Can I go fishing with you?
December – Bill, how long did it take to do that? Whatever the time was, it was worth it to those that get to look at it for the month of December and longer. Nice job….
