Hi brothers in the hobby,
I should repair an loose starter on a G.Loomis Stream Dance GLX 9' #4. Does someone have an idea what colour and brand of thread is used for winding on the eys. G.Loomis did not answer my request on their page. As I called their support they told me to call the support from Mudhole. Unbeliefable. Thank you for your help Best wishes, tight lines and always bubblefree varnish Wolfgang Munich Germany Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 02/16/2016 01:32PM by Wolfgang Jungwirth. Although I have no information of use to you. I would like to say that I find the fact that loomis customer service referred you to mudhole for a question regarding their product. Crazy... Re: Thread Colour G.Loomis Stream Dance ?

Been a while since I held one in my hand and it was an earlier version, but in my mind's eye it was a green blank with Gudebrod golden rod or gold thread, no cp. Golden rod is my strongest vision. Re: Thread Colour G.Loomis Stream Dance ?

Thank you bouth for answering.
Yes it is crazy what they did but i reached a realy friendly guy at Mudhole, he is trying to help. I tryed several threads I thought tey could work. Goldenrod from Guldebrod is a way to yellow. The gold is not bad but it is still a bit of brownish on the ringfoot missing. I tryed also one that seems to be old gold, but i don`t know what brand. this is a way to brown. I wait for the delivery of prowrap Midas Gold, Bee Wax and Ratan, perhaps one of those will fit. There is also a litte bit of an shiny touch in it, but I think this is the Result of microbubbles as a result of the poor workmanship in varnishing. I bought a new tip for this rod, the varnish is worse than my first rod. The rod is realy nice to fish with it, but if there is a problem with, it seems you're in trouble. I remember there was a bunch of blank color bleed through on those wraps except at the guide foot, you wouldn't necessarily get the right color, if color testing with water. Re: Thread Colour G.Loomis Stream Dance ?

Thank you, you're describing it perfect.
All the colours I tested till now was been treated with epoxy, water only give you an idea in whitch direction the journey will go. Re: Thread Colour G.Loomis Stream Dance ?
