Ranger and spiral wrapped rods

Half a season in my new-to-me Ranger and I need to re wrap a few rods that took a beating going into the Ranger rod tubes. I'm either going to wrap them conventional or get new rod covers. The Cabelas adjustable rod socks just don't give enough protection, so I want to go with the expandable sleeve type.

Does anyone here know of a good cover that works with guides as small as 3 or 4mm? The ones I've tried allow the guides to poke through.

I might check out “Rod Glove” they have a line for the micro guides that is a tight weave to prevent the micro guides from popping through the mesh. They also have a Pro Series Neoprene Rod Glove which the guides won't pop through, great for the rod locker.

I think any fabric rod glove, the kind that were popular before the mesh sleeves, will work fine. They do for me.

Just hunted for some, and couldn't find them. Seem to replaced by mesh.

This one says dense weave, microguide compatible: [www.rodsox.com]

Check these out too while you're at it. I don't know how thick they are, but they should fit the bill. I haven't used them (yet) but I may in the future: [www.bbcboards.net]
