Mix ratios are almost always given as volume:volume. To mix by weight you just need to find the weight per volume which can then be converted. Manufacturers are required to make available the MSDS for their products. It will list the Specific Gravity of the product(s). Multiply the SG by 8.34 (weight of 1 gallon of water) to get the weight per gallon of product then convert (Google unit converter to find a calculator to do it for you) to the unit you want to weigh, i.e. grams, ounces. I always use syringes that come from one of the sponsors on the left .I always leave the syringes in the bottle except to replace & empty bottle .The current syringes have been in use for around the 5 year mark & have had their bottles changed somewhere in the region of 15 times & that would be a conservative estimate.I would be worse off by using the weight method as the cost of scales would outweigh the savings of the syringes .To date I have never had epoxy that wouldn't set correctly .We have a saying down here in Oz "When you are on a good thing stick to it" & that what I'm doing Regards Baz Bundeena NSW Australia Re: beware of new syringes

I'm another one who uses syringes from a sponsor, because, they are precise, don't wear out, no need to clean and very inexpensive. My current set has been in use for over 6 years. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
