End of ice rod spring bobber. What is it?

I have figured out what the flat plastic material is used to make this spring bobber but I have no idea where the end of it came from. The "spring" actually fits into the bottom of the orange looped end of the spring bobber. I seriously doubt someone manufactured this end just for spring bobbers. But I can't figure out where it came from or originally what it was used for. Anyone know????????????

thanks,
Buzz

Buzz,
When you do an @#$%& search for ice rod spring bobber, you come up with this one:

[]

Nylon-Bobber-Spring-tip-bobber-for-sportive-ice-fishing-4pc-set-/151933147278?hash=item235febd88e:g:LokAAOSw7FRWVUnu

This one is from the Russian Federation.

It appears to me that the tip top is molded out of the same material as the rest of the spring bobber.

But, you can certainly use a fly rod tip top and get the same effect. You can use one of the crazy glues to glue a fly rod tip top to the spring bobber if you wish.

I have not seen this sort of tip top on anything. However, there are some pre school plastic fishing rod sets that have a somewhat similar tip top on their plastic fishing rod.

Good luck

Roger this spring bobber DID come from Russia Federation. The end almost looks like a very small version of a wire connector for putting boat wiring on a battery post. The search goes on...........

I appreciate the input but i literally dont want to put a square spring bobber in a round hole.
Besides the weight of a fly rod tip top will really cause this particular spring bobber to bend.

Buzz,
When you look closely at the spring bobber and tip, does it appear that it is two pieces that have been joined together or does it appear that it is a single piece of nylon?

Be safe

Joined together Roger. The "spring" material fits into a hole in the bottom of the circle piece. Looks like it was clamped shut (circle piece). The material for the "spring" is very similar to, if not exactly X-ray film. I've got access to plenty of that (played hockey as a teen) but i can't figure out the origin of this end loop.
