CP on blank

Hello all. This is my first wrap covering this much blank. I've only done a few diamonds/chevrons before this which had clear "stripes" to follow when applying CP to ensure coverage. Not so much here. There are only small patches of blank showing through and I was wondering if I can just CP the whole thing or do I have to be careful not to get it on the blank?

The tan threads are sacrificial BTW; they will be coming off once the CP is holding it all snug.

I think I will try a closed wrap on my next one!

Edit: got photo working!

You can apply CP to any open areas if you like, but I'd forego that try to just stay on line with the edges of the wrap. If the areas you speak of are very small, then it's not going to matter much if you fill them.

The photo site is working fine. Check to make sure you are registering properly.

I've only done open wraps so far and I just CP over the whole thing. Once you put epoxy on, the CP disappears, assuming you didn't glob it on too thick and you allow it to dry overnight.

Thanks John, I went ahead and did the same. I only had very small openings, and it would have been very difficult trying to miss all those while ensuring I had sufficient coverage. I put a soaking coat on and wicked away the excess once it had soaked through. Seemes to have worked wonderfully. Helped keep everything together too while tying off. Man I hate that part! So nerve racking!

I got one side tied off with a simple wrap with end trim bands, and I'm going to do an overwrap in size D white pearl with some inlays to make it look better.
