Hello, I've went through about 18 pages of lumiseal posts and I don't remember seeing anything about cleaning up lumiseal on unwanted places. This will be my first time using it over a decal on wood insert on a reelseat and want to be prepared if I accidentally get it on the aluminum components. Will alcohol work for cleaning? And one more question, can I apply it on with foam brush while rotating on power wrapper or will that cause bubbles? Thanks! Re: Lumiseal questions

Why not apply the decal, coat the insert with Lumaseal, and then assemble the seat? Wait for the Lumaseal to fully cure first.at least a couple of days. Re: Lumiseal questions

Unfortunately I already had the grips and reel seat glued to the blank before my buddy decided he wanted a decal on the seat....but yes I would prob do that next time. Re: Lumiseal questions

I do not believe alcohol is a solvent for Lumiseal. Best to mask off areas to keep clean. Also be sure to test the effect of Lumiseal upon a decal if it is not protected by CP or other coating as Lumiseal is pretty hot on some materials. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
