Reel Seat Question

I'm building a slow pitch jigging rod on a Black Hole Cape Cod Special 662 HMF. It is 6"5", rated for 15 - 40 lb test and weighs 3.2 oz. I'm planning on building it as a casting rod with an acid/spiral wrap. It will be paired with the new Daiwa Saltiga star drag conventional SASD 15N reel.
When I initially posted I forgot to ask about the reel seat. From researching slow pitch rods it should be light and not made of metal. Does anyone have suggestions on what reel seat to use?? I have never built a rod like this before so am also looking for any advice or information anyone is willing to provide. Thanks in advance for your responses. Re: Reel Seat Question

Any pipe style reel seat similar to the Fuji DPSM. made by the manufacturer of your choice. Just make sure the reel foot on your Diawa reel fits the reel seat and the ID of the reel seat is larger than your blank's OD. I'd bet the reel seat has to be at least an 18 mm to fit this criteria.
If you like the bulkier looks of the aluminum saltwater boat reel seats, you can stay graphite with the Fuji DPSH. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/25/2015 01:39PM by Spencer Phipps. Re: Reel Seat Question

I'll have the reel in my hands tomorrow but I have been told the reel seat needs to be 17 mm or larger. Thanks for the info. Re: Reel Seat Question

Thanks for the info. I'll take the reel with me to Get Bit and decide on the reel seat while I'm there. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
