Is there a step by step instruction or video for mounting reel seats with cut outs and how to best do with arbours to those reel seats?

We've covered it in the magazine but haven't done a video thus far. I'll put it on the list for an addition to the magazine YouTube channel in the near future.

What you'd most likely want to do, is pre-size everything to fit - arbors to blank, arbors to seat .Then glue the arbors into the seat from either end and slide that assembly onto the rod. Or, you can fit and glue the rear arbor onto the rod blank and the forward arbor into the fore of the seat. Ream that one to fit the blank properly, then slide on with the seat going on over the rear arbor already glued to the rod blank. The latter method would allow you to keep adhesive off the rod blank in the window area.

Great instructions, thank you! I'm thinking of installing a Textouch Graphite or MVT Reel Seat, they have 3 cut outs and carbon woven insert, in what order should I best mount the insert, to the reel seat or first to the blank?. Should i Use arbors all the way where it's not a blank exposure or is it better to splice the arbor to smaller pieces and have spaces between them?
