For all you rod builders, if someone brings to you or asks you about building out a 4 pc, 8 foot CTS casting rod, Deep Blue with orange metallic trigger casting seat, please let me know.
I was shipping the rod to a builder and it appears someone at the FedEx distribution center has plucked it off a truck or out of the cage. Long story, it was labelled FedEx Ground, the Express guy picked up but could not scan it. Now it has disappeared. Thanks, Tony Re: Stolen 4pc Casting Rod - Please Look Out

Tony,
I would offer the opinion that the rod is still in the FedEx system somewhere flying around the country. Good luck on finding the rod. I had a blank that got on a plane from a distributor, and flew around the country for over a month before finally being located and shipped correctly to me. I had a $52 order shipped to me from Mudhole via USPS about 6 months ago and the Tracking Notice indicated that it was at the local post office. It should have been delivered to my office, but was not. As Murphy's Law goes, I needed the shipment to finish a rod order. The following week I went to the post office every day and was told they could not find the shipment. I finally gave up and placed another duplicate order with Mudhole, which I received in 3-4 days.
Since the order was not insured there is a $50 limit on any lost or damaged shipment established by the USPS. I went online and submitted a claim for $50, (I had been charged by Mudhole for the lost shipment and they didn't lose the shipment, USPS did). About a month later, I got a letter from USPS denying my claim, which said the shipment was available for pickup at the local post office. I doubted the letter's claim; but I went ahead and went to the local post office to check. They said they could not find shipment, which I already had assumed would be the case. At that point I submitted an appeal to the claim denial, via Certified Mail. That was about 3-4 months ago and I have not heard a word on my appeal. I am not hold my breathe. I would just like my $52 back, or I should say $50, as that is the USPS liability limit on uninsured shipments! Don Campbell don@sensorfishingrods.com Edited 1 time(s).
