I'm getting ready to turn some eva out of stock. It is light colored eva. Is there some kind of coating to protect it from getting discolored with use or do you just clean it with water? Re: keeping eva clean

EVA can be either sanded, or simply cleaned with a product such as 409 or Fantastik to restore a near new appearance.

Rod grips that are used heavily tend to turn dark or black with use.
The easiest way to keep the grips looking like new, is to use dark or black grips. Then the dirt that will be on the grips do not show up. My main go to cleaner for rod grips is "Simple Green" cleaner and a tooth brush. "Simple green" works very very well with minimal work to keep nearly any grip looking new. Thanks. I have used simple green on black grips but didn't know if it would clean up orange or yellow ones. Re: keeping eva clean

It seems like I read some of the NERBS were using Scotchguard. Might be worth a test. Re: keeping eva clean

Toothbrush and shampoo is how I clean my foam. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
