Have an older Amtack Matrix Carbon tube handle in green color. It is a woven appearance with a dark green coloration but you can still see the carbon weave. Ends are EVA type foam. Customer has gotten a lot of scratches and scrapes on it and would like it repaired to original condition. Not sure how they got the green color on. Carbon is grey, right? So this was a green tint in the finish they put on it? If so, how would you color in the marred areas or would I have to sand off all the old finish and replace completely. Might be easier. But how to get the transparent dark green tint in the new coating. Testors in epoxy, just a few drops? Same in Permagloss? Or is there something else that would be better? Thanks. Great resource here. Re: Amtack Matrix Handle Redo

I think you'd come out better in the long run by stripping the tube and just refinishing the entire length. Tint some PermaGloss to your liking and swipe it on. Two coats about an hour apart.
Trying to match color on small sections would be difficult. .................... Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
