Hey guys so I need some suggestions for a blank. I will be using it to fish for catfish and on a pier at the beach. When it comes to catfish I the normal fish will be small up to 5 lbs muds and channels. I may luck into a bue or flathead every now and then, but it will not be often. I need to it be a two piece to make traveling easier. I will want to throw from 1/2-2 ounces. Maybe slightly heavier if the current is strong. I would also prefer a longer rod maybe 8ft? I will also be using kahle hooks and circle hooks the most, with a baitfeeder spinning reel. I want a blank that will be able to handle the heavier cats and saltwater fish, but not a total broom stick that will take the fun out of smaller fish. Thanks guys! Re: Catfish/Saltwater Pier Blank

You might want to look at the Batson Rainshadow RX7 SW967F blank rated 3/4--4 oz. I have built two rods using this blank to be used for lite saltwater fishing and really like them. Re: Catfish/Saltwater Pier Blank

The Batson SW967F is a very good multi-species RX7 Graphite blended blank,
and we carry it in stock, here is a link; [www.schneidersrods.com] Best wishes, Ron Schneider Schneider's Rod Shop Mountain Home, Arkansas [www.schneidersrods.com] mtnron40@yahoo.com 870-424-3381 Re: Catfish/Saltwater Pier Blank
