Get Bit had these on close out so I picked up a kit. I plan on using it for a saltwater jigging rod in Alaska. Have any of you built and used one of the IMU blanks? Also I am looking for suggestions as to what color to make the guide wraps as its a Titanium Chrome finish blank. Thanks for your help! Built on quite a few - they are nice.
Most colors go nice on that blank color - but I like black the best for wraps. Thanks - Marc Keep it simple - that's all I can handle! Re: Batson IMU66MH question

The garnet on those goes quite well, as well as a medium or dark grey Ron Weber Re: Batson IMU66MH question

I think some of the 7' 6" XH blanks were built by the Batson clan into rods that did very well including barn door halibut. Re: Batson IMU66MH question

Its a very stout stick!! Yes Spencer, a few them have been built into halibut rods as well. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
