float rod blank help

Hey everyone been some time since ive posted i am having a hard time locating a blank small river float rod looking for a 11'6 med-light fast action blank or something close in that power range any float rod builders got any suggestions thanks Re: float rod blank help

If no one else can point you in the direction of a shorter float rod blank, you might look over the 2-piece steelhead blanks for the length, action, and power you want. Re: float rod blank help

Robert, I built on a Rainshadow rx7 11'-6'' many years ago. I find it adequate for a small stream steelhead rod. I even use it for river walleye around here. Works well. However, I would put the action more in the moderate range.

RX8 1382 or RX8 1383 both great blanks.. I have built both for Spring Kings... great looking blank, and enough backbone IMO... Re: float rod blank help
