Wrap Help Please...

I am building a stand up rod and for the first time I am going to incorporate the butt wrap as an underwrap for the stripper guide. On this rod the stripper will be a Pac Bay HD Eliminator #4 Roller.

I have done a dragon scales wrap as my base...and continued it out past where my guide wrap will end. I want to add a diamond wrap on top of the scales and end the diamonds under the first guide foot....if that makes any sense.

I am looking for some tips on how to tie off the diamond wrap (which will be on top of the dragon scales) ......do I just tie it off with some A thread then place the guide foot on top and wrap normally with my D thread? That will give me 3 layers of thread in that area though....makes me a little nervous.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Depending on the overall location of the guide, could not perhaps make the diamond wrap tie-off as one end of the guide foot wrap?

Well.....I guess I could Tom...thanks. I don't know why I thought it was going to be way more involved than that! The simple answer is usually the best.
