A guy came over to me with three rods he may want duplicated
Had these from 1984 does anyone know of a Cardnel Custom Rods The owner i believe has passed The rods only had the name on it and no spects of the rod I thought of maybe solid glass but they were not real heavy so then I was thinking of Glass Tube ?? used for fluke red-fish saltwater Flexible tips and thin in OD I looked at the Batson E-Glass all purpose ?? On Utmost The guy had a 5'6 using 25lb braid A 6'4using 50lb braid And a 6'9 using about 25 - 50 lb braid Trolling Any ideas Thanks Bill - willierods.com Re: Anyone know this builder

I am pretty sure I bought most of his blanks when he retired. I think that the name cardinal was on one rod that was built. I can check on it and let you know. Re: Anyone know this builder

I have a Diawa Spinning rod from the early 80s that is that translucent maroonish color - Very light but extremely tough rod Re: Anyone know this builder

Lamiglas has made several fiberglass blanks in that maroon color over the years. They still produce several fiberglass models for saltwater that will probably match the action but I think they are mostly black or honey these days. Worth looking into, though. Re: Anyone know this builder

Featherweight Rawhide made a lot of casting and spinning blanks of that translucent maroon color also. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
