I just did a search on this forum and there are 61 pages with a reference to common cents. I know what it is and how to use it but I seem to recall another system that was more focused on blanks, other than fly rod blanks. Also, what happened to the data on CCS. The link on the left is more of a white paper on the subject but by now, I would think there would be a huge number of blanks that have been measured. Re: CCS

The CCS has nothing to do with fly rod blanks - it measures action, power and speed, which are the inherent qualities of any and all rod blanks.
Bob Hesser's old CCS database went down a while ago. A new version will be up this week. ................. Re: CCS

Based on the new CCS database, fly rod blanks are the focus. I am sure everyone appreciates the efforts and commttment to putting all the numbers together in one place but where are the numbers for other blanks? Re: CCS

Action, power and speed are the focus of the CCS. If people will get busy and enter rods other than fly rods, this will be more apparent in that particular database.
