baitcaster and recoil guides

Got a guy wants a 7' Phenix blank using 10 - 25 line He wants the guides on top Recoils Would they work Not to light ?? The single foot with there V in them does not go well with me Double foots ??

Bill, I have several casting rods with Recoils guides, and they are excellent, but can be noisy when using braided line. I don't use braid, so I have no problem with them.
The single foot with V you mentioned: I think you're refering to fly guides. Those might be ok on a spinning rod, or a spiral wrapped casting rod, but not on top. You'll be better off with these; [www.mudhole.com] Re: baitcaster and recoil guides

Thanks for the heads up I used recoils once Did not like them Your right on the spinning guides They seem to bring the ring high off the blank ??
