Was wondering if anyone out there has painted a blank in Air Force blue. I'm thinking of making an Air Force themed rod for a friend and was wondering if there was a premix spray out there that was close. It's a little tough for me to just go to a hobby store or auto parts store and just grab some blue...I'm color blind and it's a hassle to drag my wife into town to find that perfect color match. We do have a fantastic auto paint store locally, but even the smallest amount that they can mix is a little expensive for single rod with lots of leftovers and lots of cleanup with the air brush. Appreciate any help Re: Rod "safe" paint in Air Force Blue

Air force blue is Pantone # 287, check around you may be able to find it premixed. Re: Rod "safe" paint in Air Force Blue

Thank you, Phil. I didn't even think about checking out the Pantone number. Sometimes I forget to search for the most obvious way to solve my problem. Appreciate it Re: Rod "safe" paint in Air Force Blue

Ken, I have used Permagloss on previous projects with great results, but thanks for the reminder. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
