I have an old All Star casting rod that a customer has asked me to rework. This is the second old All Star from him he has asked me to work on.
I am trying to determine the approximate age of the rod just out of curiosity. The rod has the following items. >The cork rings were glued to the blank and turned on the rod. They were not sanded smooth. The previous rod was very rough. Both rods I worked on were of this design. >It has a telescoping blank and is 6'-6" long. Both rods were of this type > The reel seat has a plastic trigger with a beveled set of cork rings under the reel. There is a layer of thin cork over the rear seat. the reel seat is 2 piece. > The label indicates that the lure weight is 3/8 to 4/4. (I have not seen lure listed as 4/4) Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Re: Old All Star Rod
