A friend of mine asked me to build him a rod to replace a Duckett Micro. Magic he broke in a rod locket accident. He asked me to try and match it as close as possible. My question is does anyone know who makes the winding checks or some similar to them that they use? Also is there a way to salvage the ones off the broken rod without damaging them? Check Mudhole or any of the other suppliers to the left. If you are looking to salvage it try being really careful and just pop it off.

Chuck,
You can try heating them with a heat gun to soften the epoxy and see if you can work them off of the blank. This would require that the blank has been stripped of the guides of course. Are they medal winding checks? Don Campbell don@sensorfishingrods.com Re: Winding checks

Looks like Matagi components. I think Mudhole has them or similar.
