Could anyone help me with the actual outside diamiter sizes of the Aftco #1M, #2M and #3M slip over reel seats , I sustpect they may not be the same as the (no1 and 2 ) unibuts of which I have several.
Regards and thank you Gary Re: Aftco slip over reel seats

I believe they are, but just to make sure I'll try and measure some for you a bit later today. If anyone else has those measurements, please go ahead and put them up. I'm not sure I have a #3M here.

Hi,
I would call Aftco. I have always found them to be very helpful. Capt Neil Faulkner Re: Aftco slip over reel seats

Thank you Tom very interesting
My No AFTCONo1 unibuts measure very close to 25mm and my AFTCO No 2 unibutts measure very close to 30mm as near as I can tell with my ruler Aftco also say on there web site that most 80 reels will fit a No 2 Unibutt and will also fit No 3 and 4 slip over sleeves I am only asking because Iam considering fitting a no 2 slip over to a calstar 760M to fish a 60-80lb bait and bottom fishing with a 16 sized reel, instead of the Fugi DPSH24 that I really like and normaly fit to 760L to fish 40-50 not that I have ever had a DPSH break or seen anyone els's break. Have you ever heard of a DPSH breaking under load when used with a conventional reel used in conjuction with a shimano type reel clamp Regards Gary Edited 1 time(s). Only if the seat wasn't attached to the blank with a full length arbor underneath. Otherwise, I haven't seen one break.
