is it too late?

Installed a reel seat last night and must have gotten some epoxy squeeze out that I did not see until this afternoon. It is already hard enough that I cannot peel it off. Before I pour a solvent on it I want to check and see if that or something else is the best course of action. The epoxy is on the seat threads and the junction where it meets an EVA grip. Just on one side. Was thinking acetone might soften it but do want to melt the grip. Suggestions?

I would try to cut it off with an Xacto knife or razor blade before taking a chance on acetone on EVA.

I hope I can slice it off closely enough that I do not take a big gap out of the grip!
