Hy everyone
I have to build 2 rods for a friend: The first is a Phenix Ultra UMBX-700MH, 7' 1oz that will be used with a Daiwa Certate 3000 and 15-20lbs braid; the second is a MHX HM-SJ843, 7' 5/8oz, this one will be used with a Daiwa Caldia 2500 and 10-15lbs braid. I'd like to build them with the KR Concept; i searched fordetails of this concept but i still have some doubts; i was thinking this setup for both of them: KL 20H, 10H, 5.5M and KT4.5 runner guides Do you think this is ok for both the blanks??? Would be better starting with a KL16H for the SJ843 or with a 25H for the Phenix?? Runner guides are ok or i have to coose a bigger one?? Thank you all HLP Edited 3 time(s). The best group of reduction guides will be a KL16H, KL8H, KL5.5M. This group has proven to be exceptional for braid to 20# and spinning reels in the 2500 to 3000 Series. The stripper will be around 19-inches and the choke should work out to around 18-20 inches past the stripper. The step by step is on page 46 and 47 of the latest Anglers Resource catalog, downloadable at [www.anglersresource.net]. Re: Fuji KR - Help needed

Hello Jim,
I've read the step by step guide Anglers Resource, but I thought it was referring to Shimano reels sizes. Daiwa sizes are larger, a Daiwa 3000 is larger than a Shimano 4000.... is about a Shimano 4500 if this would exist. In this case is ok starting from a KL20H or should i use the KL16H, 8H, 5.5M reduction train???? Consider too that there is the possibility that on the SJ843 could be used the Certate 3000...... Thanks Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/02/2014 09:59AM by Henry La Pen. Re: Fuji KR - Help needed

If the reel is much higher you might want to go up to the 20H. It's mostly about height. The actual technique calls for positioning the stripper according to NGC methods which would likely place a 20 at about the right distance. The Series reference is, as usual, an average to provide a starting place. 20H 10H 5.5M Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
