Hey everyone...
My son is building a spiral wrapped, Seeker Jigging rod (6' XH) to use with 50lb Power Pro on a Release SG reel. The guides he chose were Fuji ICMNSGs. They arrived, but he was under the impression that they were in a polished stainless color (like the Mudhole picture). The guides are titanium coated stainless and have a tinted color to them. I know... form over function, but he was looking forward to having the guides POP while being wrapped with black thread and silver trim bands. The only polished stainless guides I see for this purpose are alconite. I'm pretty sure these aren't the best choice for this application. I think we're sticking with the original tinted guides unless someone here has any words of wisdom that would sway us otherwise. Thanks in advance. You all are always so helpful. That is the Titanium "coating". I personally prefer that to the polished chrome look. Tough to tell over the internet unless you have both types in a side by side pic where it then becoms more obvious. They do much better in the salt than the chrome finish but not quite as good as the solid titanium alloy. Look at the high end Japanese jigging rods and most have the ICMNSG's. My jigging spinners are almost all outiftted with the ICMNSG's and don't see why you couldn't use them in a conventional set up, just pay attention to height of the line coming off the spool and size your string accordingly. My conventional builds have started to use the new titanium TIXN's from Batson. Really nice quality and value and are light which is nice if you are the one jigging all day. Good luck on what sounds like a fun build. Re: Seeker Jigging Rod with Fuji Guides

Thanks for the feedback!
The ICMNSGs are BEAUTIFUL guides. The tint is just not what my son wanted from a "look" standpoint. I'll definitely take a look at the Batsons. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
