Soft Finish

I should already know the answer to this, but being in somewhat of a time crunch, I thought I'd float this out on the rodboard. I put a thin coat of Threadmaster Lite on some underwraps I am doing. I've used this product before and like it a lot. I'm usually very precise when mixing finish, but might have gotten it a hair off this time. MIxed up ~ 8cc's. After two days to cure, I'm finding that the finish is a bit softer than I've experienced in the past. Very difficult to get the overwraps on, but I am making progress. Assuming it was a mix ratio error, can I just add the finish coats to the overwraps when I'm done and expect things to eventually cure? When I say "softer" I mean I can dent it with a fingernail using modest pressure, and I can see where I've had to remove thread to re-wrap a guide that wasn't up to my standards.

A mere 2 days isn't likely enough for it to fully cure. As long as it's not tacky, you're probably okay. I'd set it in a warm place for another day and see if it doesn't harden up a bit.

Sit out in the hot sun for a day or two and it will likely be just fine.

Be safe

It has been raining here in Houston the last few days but I went ahead and epoxied a rod using Flex Coat Lite and the finish turned out sticky. I blame the humidity. I applied the second coat using FC High Build. This is a surf rod and I like two coats on my guides. This time the finish turned out hard overnight.

No, the humidity has no effect on epoxy set and cure times. Epoxy cures by chemical reaction, not evaporation. Most likely your mix was off a bit and the second took care of the first.
