It's been mentioned here before but there is a new rod building group that is forming in the Houston, Texas area. We are calling ourselves South Coast Rod Builders (SCRBs). Tom graciously mentioned us in the last issue of RodMaker. We are going to have our first meeting on Saturday May 31, 2014. It will be held at the Fishing Tackle Unlimited store at 8723 Katy Freeway in Houston. Meeting time is 2PM. If you are anywhere near Houston please plan on attending. We'll have rod building demonstrations, good discussions, and door prizes. We'd really like to have your tips, techniques, experiences, and input pertaining to rod building and growing this group. Please bring a couple of rods you've built, we'll talk about the different ways we all put together custom rods. Everyone is welcome no matter what your experience level is. Good luck with the meeting you should have a great time.From ours i have met so many nice people and learnt so much.It is the best way to learn from having
demo's and quality builders showing their wares.I would encourage anyone no matter what level to go along you will always learn something.
