Pac Bay Tradition 2

Any reason I shouldn't try this blank? I've been building on MHX and have found the Tradition 2 at a great price.

I'll be building freshwater bass rods - 7' an 7'6" flipping sticks.

Looking to try one of the flipping blanks soon unless someone talks me out of it.

Go for it.
They made a very good reasonably priced rod.

Be safe

I have found that RX6 blanks even being Fast with pressure on they bent most all the way into the butt

The RX6 is Batson correct? Is this different from the Tradition 2?

Thanks

Rod ratings are subjective at best, and vary quite a bit from manufacturer to manufacturer. The RX6 is the "slowest" of the three classes of Batson blanks, rated at "Moderate fast", RX7 at "medium fast" and RX8 as their "fastest."

I have numerous tradition ll fly blanks and fish them constantly, in my opinion they are fantastic. You can't buy a better blank for the money. I can't speak on the bass specific blanks, but the fly blanks are a joy to cast on.

Hello,

It sounds like you found a good deal. I built a few inshore rods using their Rainforest 2 mag-bass blanks and was pleasantly surprised at how they performed. PacBay makes a good blank.

Well...Pac bay is IM6, not RX6 as is the Batson product...assuming here is a difference. Utmost carries all of the Pac Bay blanks, and should be able to answer any questions. I've use several of their blanks...including the Tradition and have found them to be excellent, and a decent price.
