Can anyone tell me the height difference between the MJ and standard M frames in the BLCAG series please? I'm assuming the M is taller? How does the 16M compare in height to the 20?
Thanks. Re: Fuji BLCAG question

Sure does thanks Jim. It would be good to know the frame height to the bottom of the ring as well but this is good. Re: Fuji BLCAG question

Just wondering do you have a weight chart too? Re: Fuji BLCAG question

Mark: The weight chart seems to be an ongoing project. With thousands and thousands of products it's very difficult to find a block of time with nothing to do but weigh guides, especially when you consider that some products would have to be weighed 4 or 5 times in the same size to account for ring and frame material differences. It's a manpower issue but something we continue to work on in our "spare" time. Perhaps someone could start a spread sheet and we could all contribute a few at a time. Re: Fuji BLCAG question

Jim, I volunteer!
I am willing to find the weight of every guide Fuji makes. I will weigh 10 of each guide on my Mettler digital analytical balance with 0.1 mg readability and calculate the average weight of a single guide. I'll compile the data in an MS Excel file and import the data to MS Access for convenient use. To accomplish this task, please arrange two first class air fare to Japan, for myself and my "assistant" - we both have long legs and thats a long flight, two weeks accommodations at the Peninsula Tokyo, and two weeks luxury class auto rental - those long legs again - to drive to and from the Fuji plant... It's a dirty deed and someone has to do it. Re: Fuji BLCAG question

I hear you Jim. I plan to start one and can send you the weights if you like? I have access to a scientific analytical balance so the issue for me is time and access to enough guides to get a representative average. I can do a few though.
It's a bit strange Fuji don't do this themselves, especially since some of the advertising in their guide range focuses on weight savings. The new TORZITE range is a good example. Re: Fuji BLCAG question

I agree Mark. They provide 3 or 4 measurements on EVERY guide they make but no weights. I can only assume they think no one will worry about a tenth or one-hundreth of a gram...ha! I have weighed most of the K-Series guides (pre-torzite), just have not had a chance to assemble the data. Send me what you assemble and I'll hold it till the project is complete.
John, I don't believe we've met but I like your style. Re: Fuji BLCAG question

I agree Bill and I'll be weighing the other guides I have as well. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
