I have had an inquiry about a "good" bottom bouncing rod.
This client lives on the Georgian Bay / Lake Huron shore. I assume this rod will be used to flat-line troll for Walleye in the Great Lakes. Since I am a small lake, Pike, Bass, Musky sort of guy, I have no idea what might be suitable. Can anyone offer us some suggestions? Thanks Garry2rs Re: fresh water bottom bouncing rod

Gary,
I just finished up a couple. The popular blank is either a 7 foot medium power or a 7 foot medium heavy power. The difference in power reflect the weight to be carried. Medium power for lighter weights and medium heavy power for heavier weights. Generally the medium power for weights up to about 1 oz and the medium heavy power for weights up to about 2 1/2 ozs. Be safe Re: fresh water bottom bouncing rod

I've did several for bottom bouncing. A lot of good feedback on rods built to lengths between 6'8" - 7' with medium heavy power. Also, the ones I did with a spiral wrap were well recieved. Re: fresh water bottom bouncing rod
