Fuji casting reel seat question

Looking at the Fuji ECSM Exposed Blank Reel Seat. It says "it also features a unique 7.9-degree offset for added comfort".

It's not clear to me where this offset is. Initially I was expecting it to be in the grip, that is, angled down like a pistol grip. I'm not picturing how that could work with a through-blank handle though.
So it must be elsewhere? If so where?

I don't know. All the pictures I've been able to find of it show the same view from the Fuji catalog it seems.

I Just put one on a blank the other day.Just went down to my work area to compare to other reel seats.tthe only thing I could see was the trigger had more of a curve in it compared to another Fuji trigger reel seat that i put side by side. went back down a second time with a machist square and it looks like the triggger is 7 degree off of being at a 90 degree angle.

David
That's an awesome response to Jim's question. I have a question too. If that 7.9 degree offset does as Fuji suggests to adding comfort it would be a great selling feature in building rods with the ECSM reel seats. So my question is, on the rod you just built can you feel any significant difference in that offset?

Thanks,
Tom

I compared the triggers on the Fuji web page and it's hard to see much difference in the angle as none of them are straight, but you may be right.

I sent off an email to Fuji asking about it.

BTW is there any place that lists the weight of the various seats?

I have not put the eyes on yet but the reel seat has a nice shape to it where your trigger finger fit around to the sides my hand and finger are large and they fit. this is my first blanked expose seat so I have nothing to compare to in blank exposed .I used the palm support and liked then alot.Jim let us know what FUJI says
