Bill,
Just a follow up to your inquiry on the airbrush I used; I couldn't recall the model. It was the DeVillbis model DAGR. Set up as a standard gravity feed not as a suction feed. Re: Best of Show??

Looking for model numbers for the label machine. I visited the LTR Group page and there's many to choose from! Which one did they have at the show?
Thanks in advance for any info provided! Re: Best of Show??

I'm pretty sure any solid e-glass rod blank can be bent in half and will accept any color of paint. More information would be helpful. Re: Best of Show??

Pearl 270 is the smaller one.

I think the 360 was the larger label printer on display. On both, I believe the number is the resolution, so the larger 360 has the higher resolution and the smaller 270 has a lower resolution. The 360 also had a nice feature to trim corners of the label in addition to being able to use wider label stock. Re: Best of Show??

Right, I think the 270 will print at 150DPI, which is more than enough for small decals such as those used on rods, and will take up to a 1-inch height decal. Again, about as high as you'd go unless you're talking about really large blank OD's.

Best of show for me is a product that two gentlemen from Sweden brought with them as a prototype. It''s a completely adjustable chuck to be used on drying set ups. This device will clamp and hold rods with a diameter of the 1/32 of an inch out to 1.5 inches FIRMLY with positive 'stops'. I know they spoke with Andy Renzetti and other manufacturers / wholesalers / distributors. I told them I want 10 as soon as they have them up & running. Re: Best of Show??

As new rod builder I was amazed by it all ,but I would have to echo everyone else I was impressed with rod geeks and bought a red blank can't wait to build it up. Thank you to all for your hard work in making this expo a reality. I will return next year. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
