Bill,

Just a follow up to your inquiry on the airbrush I used; I couldn't recall the model. It was the DeVillbis model DAGR. Set up as a standard gravity feed not as a suction feed.

Looking for model numbers for the label machine. I visited the LTR Group page and there's many to choose from! Which one did they have at the show?

Thanks in advance for any info provided!

I'm pretty sure any solid e-glass rod blank can be bent in half and will accept any color of paint. More information would be helpful.

Pearl 270 is the smaller one.

I think the 360 was the larger label printer on display. On both, I believe the number is the resolution, so the larger 360 has the higher resolution and the smaller 270 has a lower resolution. The 360 also had a nice feature to trim corners of the label in addition to being able to use wider label stock.

Right, I think the 270 will print at 150DPI, which is more than enough for small decals such as those used on rods, and will take up to a 1-inch height decal. Again, about as high as you'd go unless you're talking about really large blank OD's.

Best of show for me is a product that two gentlemen from Sweden brought with them as a prototype. It''s a completely adjustable chuck to be used on drying set ups. This device will clamp and hold rods with a diameter of the 1/32 of an inch out to 1.5 inches FIRMLY with positive 'stops'. I know they spoke with Andy Renzetti and other manufacturers / wholesalers / distributors. I told them I want 10 as soon as they have them up & running.

As new rod builder I was amazed by it all ,but I would have to echo everyone else I was impressed with rod geeks and bought a red blank can't wait to build it up. Thank you to all for your hard work in making this expo a reality. I will return next year.
