what kind of paint to use on old rods

I have a customer who wants 3 old rods cleaned and repainted. I would like to know what kind of paint you would recommend for this job.Thanks.

I hav had great success with Duplicolor Car paints . Get it at the big box auto stores. They also have a two part clear in a rattle can but have not used it. I have let it set up for a week then used Permagloss or more recently the Rod Dancer equivalent to it (Cant umember the name. That one does not seem as hot as PG and leaves the paint job intact.

Fred, let's say you're looking for a certain shade of pink. How do you find the duplicolor paint code? As I understand they don't have color charts or samples - you have to give them a vehicle color code.
