which phenix blank m1 or umbx

my only experience with phenix is the t-46 now called the k2 which is a great light weight carbon fiber shaft. in my endless quest for my new dropshot rod i was going to try the ultra umbx-s700m-b but the new m1 mx-s72m-b sounds like it would make an interesting spinning rod as its rated 1/8 to 3/4 oz. any input would be appreciated

Never used the umbx- s700m but the umbx s700L is one sweet blank. Super light and awesome sensitivity.

The umbx-s700m-b makes a killer DS stick.

jim did you get the specs on the 700m before you built it. i am interested in weight and the butt and tip sizes as they seem to be different than the other umbx blanks listed.

Robert,
The butt dia. is spot on to catalog spec. Tip size has been 4.5-5 and truly extra fast action. I haven't put the blank on a scale, but judging by weight in hand the catalog spec appears accurate.
Built three out to date and blanks have been very consistent.

i am used to loomis and shikari blanks so i'm not sure how the mbx or m1 would feel to me action wise.
