help prepping guide feet

Nope, not back to the old grind. I'm building a rod using yellow thread wraps on a dark-green blank. I'll spray paint the blank white where the yellow wraps will fall to allow the yellow to "pop" - I have done this before with coated guide feet. This time I'm using REC NiTi snake-foot guides and I would like the white undercoating to cover the NiTi guide feet so the result does not resemble a spotted dog. Any suggestions on how I can put a durable white coating on the REC guide feet?

Phil,
Some folks will wrap with silver first and then wrap with the color you want to hide the feet.
