If you intend to cast very hard, I have found strapping tape and PVC bag tape to work well.
The strapping tape will be the easiest to acquire. For the PVC tape you can google either PVC bag tape or PVC bag neck tape. The PVC tape is 3/8" wide.

I use what Mark Vogt posted on youtube about Ouchless Hairbraids and plastic/wood beads.

If you have daughters and/or a wife the chances are you have these already.

They are easy to make, easy to adjust, don't slip, and great for static testing,

4" zip ties. Small enough to test with any guide. Adjustable and very secure.

20# Mono tied in a uni knot. Great for static positioning and test casting, adjustable as well. Wrap to the mono then touch with razor blade, done.

I use rubber bands to hold the guides on and then Static Test When i like that I put several turns of masking tape over that and then Test Cast with lure on

there are many good ideas on the other posts See what you like

Same here on the zip ties. I find it hard to do it any other way, even with micro's.
