Hello,
I would like to know if anyone can confirm the presence of a release agent (silicone or other type) inside FUJI reel seat ? Thank you in advance. Re: FUJI reel seat and release agent ?

Just to be on the safe side, clean the interior out with DNA or do it outside with acetone. Re: FUJI reel seat and release agent ?

Lindsay,
I certainly can't say from a specification issue. However, for the thousands of Fuji reel seats that have been assembled by builders around the world, I would be very doubtful about any sort of issue that would cause a gluing problem. The vast majority of these reel seats have been taken out of a shipping package, and glued to the blank, with 0 work on the reel seat itself. i.e. no special cleaning, or roughing up etc. Be safe Re: FUJI reel seat and release agent ?

No silicone, but you still need to clean the inside and prepare a water break free surface for the best bond.
