I am looking for an additional Rod Dryer and am looking at the Sully Double Rod Dryer at Mudhole and the Fuji FFM2 dryer (has the unique clip holder). Has anyone had any experience with either of these dryers?
Thanks, Ron Re: Rod Dryer question

Ron -
If you have the space, spend the money once and get a Flexcoat wall mount quad dryer. They don't make anything close to it in quality AND having it mounted on the wall sure keeps the shop wide open and clear. Otherwise, I would recommend the stand alone dryer from Flexcoat - the motors are great and the chuck system is the best. Custom ID diaphragms can be order if you have special needs, which is also nice. Jim - Re: Rod Dryer question

Ron,
Another option is to go with a drum dryer: [www.rodbuilding.org] This picture shows the dryer, with a short center bar in place for photo purposes. The actual dryer will have a center bar that will be 6 inches longer than the longest rod you want to dry. Then, using either 2 or three drums, you simply lay the rod on the non rotating drums - where there is no guide or finish, and use either 2 or 3 binders to hold the rod in place. Then, flip the power switch and the single motor will turn and dry up to 12 rods at a time. Be safe Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
