OK so im sure this has been covered before but what can i use to spray a blank from olive green to grey with no chance of cracking or wearing off down the line?
I need to spray a graphite blank grey before building it. All suggestions are appreciated Andi Robb Re: painting a blank

Using the search feature at the top of the forum, I entered "painting blanks" and chose "all dates". This is what was found, I'm pretty sure you can find a lot of info and tips here:

Andi
Check the butt end of the blank. It probably started off as a grey (graphite) blank and the olive green was added as a finish... so rather than paint you might be better off removing the olive green color. If it's a St. Croix it will come off easily. Re: painting a blank

Try a mild stripper - like citracal or denatured alcohol or acetone (careful with the acetone because it penetrates skin & use with plenty of ventilation. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
