Hi guys,
I have recently bought 15 rods to refurbish and sell on and amongst them I found a nice Garcia Conolon 2510-A in great condition(just needing a clean up. As its such a nice rod I was thinking of keeping it for myself(dont tell the wife) but was looking for some history and maybe a value before I make the decision. It is a Garcia Conolon 2510-A light action fast taper rod rated to 4-8 lb and has "code 17510" on it. If anyone can tell me when it was made, approx value etc. it would be appreciated Andi Robb Re: vintage rod

I think that this rod was made 10-15 years ago and sold for $25-$40 - I believe.

Thank you for this
I thought these rods were made in the 60's/70's? Re: vintage rod

cabela's sold the garcia brown 2510 in their 1966 catalog for $11.75. i think the A suffix may mean a ferrule or a guide change for a subsequent model. the listing reads like this: two-pice tubular fiberglass shaft. hard chromed, stainless steel guides and tip top. rich brown winding with beige trim. specie cork handle with anodized aluminumn screw-locking reel seat. protective butt cap and winding check. packaged in cloth case abd fiber carrying case. retail price was $23.50.
