CRB Rod Dryer

My new CRB Rod Dryer came today and I am impressed. The steel frame is substantial and finished nicely. It has very secure rubber feet so I don't see it moving anywhere. The motor is very quiet and the cord and on/off switch is seriously heavy duty! The chuck is similar to the one I have now which works well. It is a great value and I look forward to many years of use. Thanks to the folks at Mud Hole for such a well made product.

Thanks Tom for the review and feedback. We worked for a long time to design and manufactured the CRB RDS with an emphases on quality and value. We designed in SoildWorks, made many prototypes and regularly tested it in real world conditions. The chuck is actually an improvement on anything your might have although the improvements are subtle such as 1) shaft in rear is longer and thinker, 2) shaft in rear is held in place with a nut and bolt, not just a flat spot, 3) the cup is thinker around the rear shaft for more strength, 4) the cup has a larger lip on the front to hold the front cap, 5) the front cap has a larger lip over the cup to secure it in place, 6) even the zip-tie is cut clean to keep you from getting cut.

Every part in this machine has this type of thought put in it - some things you can see, some you can't - but all done with the intent of quality and value for the customer. We hope it serves you well for years to come.

Regards.
