Foregrip Transition and Leather Grip?

i am intersted in learning how to do a foregrip transition like this
i belive that it is a white piece of wood with marbling but how do they transtion like that??

also any help on learning how to do a leather grip i know you would start with cork thats all i know

Thats an epoxy ramp, then white on top of that and then marbling on top of that. Mix 5 minute epoxy and put it on the rod and shape into a ramp. After dry, sand smooth, paint and then finish over top of that.

There was a complete article on how to do them in a fairly recent issue of RodMaker. I think it was V15 no. 5.
