I noticed when looking at tip top sizes there is two numbers , one # and another in parenthesis. Ex. 6 (5.5) It's been a while since ordering tips so when I measure my rod size and need a size 6 which number do I use when looking at catalog sizes?

Hello Dave.
The first number is the ring size and the second number is the tube size. Tight Wraps. Bob, New Bern, NC. Re: Spin & Cast tips

First number is ring as suggested above,
Second number is the diameter of the rod tip IE: (4.5) (7.0) They sell cheap ($6.00) tip gauges on @#$%& if you need it in a hurry Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
