Hello:
Been gone from this site a while. Surprised to find not many choices for 9' 6" blanks anymore. Looking for a blank to through streamers. Does anyone have a suggestion as to a blank? Should I move up to a 10' or even a switch rod? Or down to something like a 9' salt water 6 wt.? Was looking at Sage VPX 9'6" but would like to avoid spending more than $200 if possible. Streamers will be thrown to Browns and Rainbows in sizes #8 to #1/0 Thanks in advance Re: Fly Rod Blank for Streamers

I was thinking that St. Croix makes a few 9'6" blanks in 6 wt. and 8wt. Re: Fly Rod Blank for Streamers

St Croix has both 9'6 and 10' rod lengths available in 6 or 7wt models. If you go to a switch rod (which would be a good choice) Batson's RX7 switch rods in 6 or 7 wt are well under $200. The 10'8"length would be good for stripping streamers that large.
I've not used the MHX blanks as was suggested but many have with good success. Terry Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
