Fly Rod Blank for Streamers

Hello:

Been gone from this site a while. Surprised to find not many choices for 9' 6" blanks anymore. Looking for a blank to through streamers. Does anyone have a suggestion as to a blank? Should I move up to a 10' or even a switch rod? Or down to something like a 9' salt water 6 wt.? Was looking at Sage VPX 9'6" but would like to avoid spending more than $200 if possible. Streamers will be thrown to Browns and Rainbows in sizes #8 to #1/0

Thanks in advance

I was thinking that St. Croix makes a few 9'6" blanks in 6 wt. and 8wt.

St Croix has both 9'6 and 10' rod lengths available in 6 or 7wt models. If you go to a switch rod (which would be a good choice) Batson's RX7 switch rods in 6 or 7 wt are well under $200. The 10'8"length would be good for stripping streamers that large.

I've not used the MHX blanks as was suggested but many have with good success.
