Hellow all, the procoat I bought in february , just pulled it off the shelf other ran out,
it had a 1/2" laor of crème setteled on the bottem, I mixed it up and did some tests and it seams to be OK, but I would like to know for shure before I use it on three rods that are wating. Is it OK or should I get some new? Thanks Curt Re: pro coat, sediment

The resin will crystalize over time. Stir it a bit and see if that fixes things. If bad enough, you can heat it a bit and it should reform to normal.

Curtis,
If I haven't used a glue or finish for a long time and it has gotten thick or settled, I will put it in the microwave - with the lid off for about 30 seconds. Normally a 30 second hit with the microwave will do a nice job of heating and getting rid of any settling or crystals in the container. Obviously, if the liquid is in a metal container - do NOT put it into a microwave!! Re: pro coat, sediment

Curtis, if you do heat it in the microwave, I would do it in 10 second increments, otherwise depending on how much is in the bottle and the size of the bottle, you run the risk of a boil over. A much safer way of heating is to heat water to near boiling, place the bottle in a coffee mug and then pour in the water. You can leave it there until it cools if you like. Leave the lid on while in the water, then wipe dry. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
