Batson RX8 thread color

I am doing some builds on the Batson RX8 - Titanium Chrome colored blank.
For these builds I want to use standard nylon thread, no color preserver and have the thread color essentially darken to the same color as the blank.

Without buying a dozen different colors, does any one have a suggestion for the perfect matching thread that will end up being invisible on the blank?

I have looked at all of the Gudbrod colors and find no match.
In the Power pro colors - I am considering 813,825 and 836 as possibilities. Basically a shade of gray with some slight added color to get the blank match.

Any other thoughts or experience with this blank color?

Roger

I was thinking the same as Bill, using light tan or white regular thread as a transparent wrap. If you are looking for minimal thread show, these are the best 2 colors for a transparent wrap.

Thanks for the thought on the invisible thread.
However, I don't want an invisible thread, rather, I just want the thread, when coated with thread finish appears to be the same color as the blank with a nice translucent look.
Pro Wrap has about 13 shades of gray. I am guessing that one of those shades will be a very close match, but would rather not buy 11 other colors that don't match, to find the correct match.
I am considering 813,825, and 836 as possibilities, but don't have them in front of me to compare.

Most light to medium grays work well with the Titanium finish. I've used Gudebrod 720 and Pro Wraps 813, 822 and have been pleased with the results of all three.

I believe 836 would not match, it appears to be on the blue side.

Just a thought, but what about Coats and Clark trilobal silver (ART D87 C2 230)?

I used the 720 on my last built with blue metallic trims and a carbon aero... I like it very much and have not had a bad review of it yet.

ProWrap 822 is as close as I have found. A tiny bit darker once finish is applied but looks really good. Wrapping a couple Batson IMU72MH's with it right now.

I know you are going for stealth, but one option with the RX8 titanium that really looks classy, is Gudbrod Garnet without CP. I expect the ProWrap Merlot without CP will be very close. It takes a color a lot like ripe black cherries, and looks very good on the blank and with metallic silver single threads and trim bands. Classy, not gaudy, but with a little color. Nice.
