U is a scientific term for micro or 10 to the -6.

So the letters UV stand for microwave.

I think Sammy is referring to the UV cured finish system from Mar Ktruz which he got about a year ago. They introduced a new improved finish at the Expo and he's been experimenting with it lately.

Phil, I was thinking the same thing just before I saw your post.

Relative to what to compare MW to, I don't think that Motor Trend compares the Corvette to a Miata. Both sports cars, but not in the same market, not truly competitors. To knowledgeable fishermen, like the ones who buy custom rods, the comparison should be between state of the art setups. From what I've heard, the MW will still compete very well and the demonstrator can argue that "We have demonstsrated that nothing being built today beats this." Can't do that if the other contemporary designs are left out I think that comparisons to COF are in fact misleading since the comparison is being made to an obsolete design.
