casting reel seats

I'm really new at rod building and read as much as i can get my hands on. I can see how you can fit cork to a blank (tapered reamers) but what about the reel seats like the Fuji KSKTS split seat. They don't make one for every size blank do they? Re: casting reel seats

Seats are sized to fit the hand, and then any space between them and the blank are taken up with arbors or bushings.
Seats can also be reamed, sometimes, as in the case where you are working with a model that exposes the blank. ............... Re: casting reel seats

You can use winding checks on the 2 inside exposed gaps to cover that space. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
